Modern Japan is a vibrant economic powerhouse with high rise cities that are neon filled commercial hubs connected through a series of fast 'Bullet' trains.  Its people are progressive with modern tech a must. It also is a land of lush scenery, verdant landscapes and zen-like retreats. The people have retained their desire for order and politeness and still believe in many of the old traditions.  This contrast of life styles will be at the heart of the tour to Japan as we explore the cities and take in the agricultural economy and countryside.

You will travel by 'Bullet' train, visit alpine forests, see Tokyo's famous wholesale market, stay in a Japanese Inn with onsen (hot springs), enjoy the picturesque Matsushima Bay and cruise Lake Aski that sits in the shadow of Mount Fuji.

Farm visits will include beef, dairy, rice, fruit, cereals, mushroom, asparigus, wasabi, tomatoe production and tea as we cross the country taking in Tokoyo, Kurihara, Nagano, Takayama and Kyoto.
